Seattle Physical Therapist Stefanie Jemison, DPT 

We are excited to welcome Dr. Stefanie Jemison to our clinic. Dr. Stefanie Jemison was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and recently moved to Seattle in 2019. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Stefanie has had a long journey with physical therapy from being a patient herself as a teenager to volunteer, student, and now therapist. With a background in psychology, Stefanie is a compassionate provider who works to maximize functionality and promote patients’ well-being.

Dr. Jemison has a diverse history of working with small community clinics, hospital based clinics, and industrial rehabilitation with general orthopedic population. Stefanie is most experienced in the treatment of chronic neck and back pain. She incorporates manual therapy, exercise, and uses assessments/treatment techniques such as the McKenzie Method. She strives to visualize as an individual and personalize every session to each unique patient need.

Also known as McKenzie Method, this is a classification system designed around finding specific movements that resolve pain.  The system is founded on the idea that there is a direct relationship between your pain and a corrective movement where immediate improvements can be felt and seen.
